Welcome to the website - New polymer composite materials - of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.
New composite materials for injection molding and extrusion applications based on
commodity thermoplastics and cellulose man-made fibers are the goal of a joint
project of the Fraunhofer Institutes for Applied Polymer Research (IAP), Chemical
Technology (ICT) and Mechanics of Materials Halle (IWM(H)). Besides materials
development we pursue suitable compounding and processing methods and open up new
fields of application in the sector of engineering plastics.
